Abstract
It has come to our attention that your slaughterhouse, unlike other facilities, continues to hang conscious cattle upside down when such archaic shackling and hoisting methods can and should be replaced with upright restrainer systems. Such less traumatic, alternative methods were developed in 1980, and these upright systems are currently operational, no longer experimental, and commercially available.
