Abstract
It has come to our attention, through a number of concerned religious activists, that your slaughterhouse continues to hang conscious calves upside down when such cruel shackling and hoisting methods can and should be replaced with upright restrainer systems,--alternative, less traumatic methods, developed in 1980. The upright system is currently operational, no longer experimental, with the equipment commercially available.
