Abstract
The COP30: Follow-up & Outcomes article from WellBeing International analyzes the results of the 30th UN Climate Change Conference in Belém, Brazil, focusing on the post-summit landscape of climate commitments, financing frameworks, and implementation challenges. While reaffirmations of climate finance goals and updated Nationally Determined Contributions signal diplomatic continuity, the current collective pledges fall short of the emissions reductions necessary to limit global warming to 1.5 °C by 2035. The review examines the gap between political aspirations and on-the-ground action, outlines fiscal and governance mechanisms that will shape future climate negotiations, and emphasizes the importance of transparency, accountability, and multi-stakeholder engagement in advancing effective climate solutions.
