Abstract

The Californian Senate passes a Resolution on animal rights. While the US Congress is considering a proposal to investigate intensive animal husbandry. The British produce new welfare codes for pigs and cattle. Luxembourg passes a new animal protection law. New restrictions are passed on animals in circuses in Europe. The RSPCA successfully brings suit against an egg producer in Surrey.
